gravel is a band from burlington, vermont featuring jerome monachino (guitar); gary matthews (bass); tom morse (trumpet); and matt deluca (drums).  whether performing original compositions or providing their take on a familiar standard - their music is dynamic and unique. the quartet made its hometown debut in early 2007 by warming the stage for legendary guitarist melvin sparks at the burlington landmark - nectar’s.  since then, they have earned an enthusiastic following throughout northern and central vermont, by delivering first class improvisation rooted in jazz and groove.
